Is Clinique Omicron covered by RAMQ?
We are a private clinicbut some of our professionals offer RAMQ-covered consultations. Coverage depends on the type of service and the professional consulted. To find out if your consultation is eligible, contact us directly.
What types of consultations are offered at the clinic?
We offer general medical consultations, nursing care, telemedicine and specialized services. Whether for a medical follow-up, prescription, SSTI screening or blood testOur team is here to help you.
Do you offer online medical consultations?
Yes, thanks to our telemedicine in Quebecyou can consult a healthcare professional remotely for prescription refills, chronic disease monitoring, mental health, hormonal disorders and more.
Can I get a medical ticket or work stoppage?
Yes, our professionals can assess your state of health and issue a medical ticket or work stoppageif clinically justified. This service is available in in-clinic and teleconsultation consultation.
Do you offer services for businesses?
Yes, we offer corporate healthcareincluding vaccinations, medical check-ups, nursing care and absence management to ensure employee well-being and optimize prevention in the workplace.
What nursing services are available?
Our nursing care include blood tests, ITSS screening, wound care, vaccinations, medication administration, blood pressure monitoring (MAPA) and Holter monitoring.
How do I make an appointment?

Is the clinic accessible to people with reduced mobility?
All our clinics are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Are charging stations available for electric cars?
We love our environment and are working on the installation of several charging stations for your use.
Can I book an appointment if my RAMQ card has expired?
No need to panic! If you have an expired, lost or stolen RAMQ card, you can contact RAMQ directly at 1-800 561-9749. This will enable you to receive your card, or a notice that it has been validated, before your consultation, and avoid any charges.
Otherwise, consultation fees will apply.
Can I be reimbursed if a public laboratory refuses my test?
If a public laboratory refuses a test due to capacity or other constraints, the Clinique Omicron cannot be held responsible for. Patients can choose to have their samples taken in a private laboratory, subject to applicable fees.
What can I do if my appointment has been scheduled incorrectly?
In case ofadministrative error from the clinic, no charge will be applied and we will offer you postpone a consultation at no extra charge.
What happens if there is a technical problem during a teleconsultation?
If the consultation cannot be completed due to a major technical problemwe offer you postponement at no extra charge. However, if the teleconsultation has been initiated and deemed complete by the professional, it will be billed as normal.
Can I transfer my appointment to someone else?
No. Appointments are personal and non-transferableexcept in the case of a pre-approved family consultation.
Why do I have to mention the reason for my consultation when making an appointment?
The reason for your consultation enables us to direct your appointment to the right professional and to plan the time needed for optimal care. Some consultations require more time or specific examinations, so it's important to be precise about the reason for your visit.
Do I have to mention all my health concerns when making an appointment?
We ask you to indicate your main reason for consultation to ensure efficient management. If more than one problem needs to be addressed, we recommend a second appointment to avoid prolonging the initial consultation.
What if my condition worsens before my appointment?
If your health deteriorates rapidly, we recommend that you contact our clinic to adjust your appointment, or call 911 in an emergency.
Do you offer home care services?
Yes, we offer home care services for patients who are unable to travel to our clinic. To find out more about these services, please visit our dedicated homecare page on our website. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment.
Can I bring a companion with me to my appointment?
Yes, we offer translation services for patients who are not fluent in English or French. We have professional translators available to ensure clear and accurate communication with all our patients. If you need translation services, please let us know at your appointment so we can arrange it for you.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including the most popular credit and debit cards, checks and cash. If you have medical insurance, we ask you to bring your insurance card and all associated documents to your consultation. Please note that you will need to deal directly with your insurance company for any reimbursement claims.
What is the patient portal?
Visit patient portal is a secure online tool that allows you to manage your healthcare in a convenient and personalized way. Through this portal, you can book and modify your appointments, consult documents sent by your healthcare professionals, communicate directly with the clinic, retrieve your invoices, and access other options related to your care. It's a simple and efficient way to stay connected with your healthcare services.
Are healthcare expenses tax-deductible?
Both the provincial and federal governments offer a non-refundable tax credit to taxpayers who have paid medical expenses for themselves, their spouses or dependents in excess of 3% of their net income.
Under certain conditions, some of the following expenses you incur at Clinique Omicron may be tax deductible:
- Health care and treatment provided by a physician (specialist or family doctor)
- Health care and treatment provided by a nurse
- Health care and treatment provided by a respiratory therapist
- Costs of laboratory tests or other investigations, interpretation costs (may require a doctor's prescription) ;
- Travel expenses for medical care
- And possibly other expenses.
In this context, we suggest that you keep your invoices and receipts from Clinique Omicron and give them to the person responsible for filing your annual tax returns, to see if you are eligible for these advantageous tax credits.
I don't have a family doctor (RAMQ). Are you taking on new patients?
To better respond to the most urgent needs of our population, our doctors take new patients directly from the Guichet d'accès à un médecin de famille (GAMF). We therefore recommend that you register : https://www.quebec.ca/sante/trouver-une-ressource/inscription-aupres-d-un-medecin-de-famille/
Please note that our doctors do not take new patients from our emergency appointment service.
What is Carnet santé Québec?
Free, simple and secure, Carnet santé Québec is the reference for monitoring your health. It lets you consult all your health information in one place:
- Your pharmacy receipts
- Your sampling and medical imaging results
Carnet santé Québec is also connected to services that help you take control of your health.
Do you offer screening and vaccination services?
Yes, we offer STBBI screening, blood tests, check-ups and vaccinations (flu, shingles, hepatitis, travel). Our professionals provide complete, confidential care.
Where are you located and what are your opening hours?

Can I get a refund if I cancel my appointment?
Cancellations less than 24 hours before the appointment are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel more 72 hours in advanceYou can request a full refund by contacting remboursement@cliniqueomicron.ca.
What happens if I don't show up for my appointment?
In case ofabsence or delay of more than 5 minutesthe consultation will be considered completed and no refunds will be given. We recommend that you cancel or reschedule your appointment in advance to avoid unnecessary charges.
Can I get a refund after a consultation?
No. Once the consultation has been clinic or teleconsultationit is considered a service renderedand cannot be reimbursedeven if you decide not to continue with recommended tests or prescriptions.
Are administrative fees refundable?
No. The administrative expensesincluding medical record creation, patient portal management and forms processing, are non-refundable because these services are provided as soon as the reservation is made.
How do I request a refund?
All requests should be sent to remboursement@cliniqueomicron.ca including :
- Full name and file number
- Date and type of consultation
- Reason for repayment
- Supporting documents (if applicable)
Requests will be processed within 5 to 10 working days lead time.
Are subscriptions refundable?
Visit monthly or annual subscriptions are refundable on a pro rata basis for unused services. However, if a service has been used, the refund will be adjusted accordingly.
How do I know if my appointment is considered a minor or complex emergency?
When making an appointment, our team will assess your needs according to precise clinical criteria. Minor emergencies involve conditions such as mild infections or minor aches and pains, while complex consultations involve problems requiring more in-depth medical assessments.
Can I change the reason for my consultation after I've booked my appointment?
Yes, it is possible to adjust your reason for consultation by contacting us at least 24 hours before your appointment. This allows us to ensure that the healthcare professional will be able to respond appropriately to your needs.
