No need to panic! If you have an expired, lost or stolen RAMQ card, you can contact RAMQ directly at 1-800 561-9749. This will enable you to receive your card, or a notice that it has been validated, before your consultation, and avoid any charges.

Otherwise, consultation fees will apply. 

If a public laboratory refuses a test due to capacity or other constraints, the Clinique Omicron cannot be held responsible for. Patients can choose to have their samples taken in a private laboratory, subject to applicable fees.

In case ofadministrative error from the clinic, no charge will be applied and we will offer you postpone a consultation at no extra charge.

If the consultation cannot be completed due to a major technical problemwe offer you postponement at no extra charge. However, if the teleconsultation has been initiated and deemed complete by the professional, it will be billed as normal.

No. Appointments are personal and non-transferableexcept in the case of a pre-approved family consultation.

The reason for your consultation enables us to direct your appointment to the right professional and to plan the time needed for optimal care. Some consultations require more time or specific examinations, so it's important to be precise about the reason for your visit.

Blood sampling fees are non-refundable, as indicated at the time of booking. When a patient books an appointment for a blood test without a valid medical request, a medical consultation is required to evaluate the request. This consultation is a separate service required for legal and clinical reasons.

We ask you to indicate your main reason for consultation to ensure efficient management. If more than one problem needs to be addressed, we recommend a second appointment to avoid prolonging the initial consultation.

If your health deteriorates rapidly, we recommend that you contact our clinic to adjust your appointment, or call 911 in an emergency.

Yes, we offer translation services for patients who are not fluent in English or French. We have professional translators available to ensure clear and accurate communication with all our patients. If you need translation services, please let us know at your appointment so we can arrange it for you.

We accept a variety of payment methods, including the most popular credit and debit cards, checks and cash. If you have medical insurance, we ask you to bring your insurance card and all associated documents to your consultation. Please note that you will need to deal directly with your insurance company for any reimbursement claims.

Visit patient portal is a secure online tool that allows you to manage your healthcare in a convenient and personalized way. Through this portal, you can book and modify your appointments, consult documents sent by your healthcare professionals, communicate directly with the clinic, retrieve your invoices, and access other options related to your care. It's a simple and efficient way to stay connected with your healthcare services.

The file opening fee (payable once a year) covers the creation and management of your secure electronic medical record, hosted on the certified MYLE platform (Medfar). This includes :

  • Access to the patient portal, which will enable you to consult, independently and securely, the information in your file that your healthcare professional makes available (e.g. results, medical history, prescriptions, clinical notes, etc.).

    Please note: Some sections of the record (including clinical notes) may appear at a later date, as their display is controlled by the healthcare professional.

  • Respect for the highest standards of confidentiality, in compliance with Bill 25 on the protection of personal information.

  • Secure your clinical data in a certified medical infrastructure.

  • Initial encoding and indexing of your medical profile by our clinical and administrative teams.

These fees are not covered by RAMQ, as they relate to administrative services offered in a private setting. They apply only to new patients or to the reactivation of dormant files.

The administrative fee of 15 $ + taxes applies when a member of our administrative team has to deal with a specific request that is not a medical procedure and requires manual intervention outside the usual consultation framework.

These fees cover, among other things :

  • Issuing letters, certificates or documents for third parties (e.g. school, employer, insurer)

  • Transmission of non-medical forms

  • Personalized follow-up or special treatments by e-mail or telephone

  • Adjustments or modifications to files or appointments requiring internal management

This amount is intended to compensate for the administrative resources mobilized to respond to these specific requests. It is indicated in our reimbursement policy available on our website and is not covered by the RAMQ in a private context.

Both the provincial and federal governments offer a non-refundable tax credit to taxpayers who have paid medical expenses for themselves, their spouses or dependents in excess of 3% of their net income.

Under certain conditions, some of the following expenses you incur at Clinique Omicron may be tax deductible:

  • Health care and treatment provided by a physician (specialist or family doctor)
  • Health care and treatment provided by a nurse
  • Health care and treatment provided by a respiratory therapist
  • Costs of laboratory tests or other investigations, interpretation costs (may require a doctor's prescription) ;
  • Travel expenses for medical care
  • And possibly other expenses.

In this context, we suggest that you keep your invoices and receipts from Clinique Omicron and give them to the person responsible for filing your annual tax returns, to see if you are eligible for these advantageous tax credits.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel more than 72 hours in advance, you can request a full refund by completing the online form: Refund request.

In case ofabsence or delay of more than 5 minutesthe consultation will be considered completed and no refunds will be given. We recommend that you cancel or reschedule your appointment in advance to avoid unnecessary charges.

No. Once the consultation has been clinic or teleconsultationit is considered a service renderedand cannot be reimbursedeven if you decide not to continue with recommended tests or prescriptions.

No. The administrative expensesincluding medical record creation, patient portal management and forms processing, are non-refundable because these services are provided as soon as the reservation is made.

All refund requests must be submitted using the online form: Refund request.

Requests will be processed within 5 to 10 working days.

Visit monthly or annual subscriptions are refundable on a pro rata basis for unused services. However, if a service has been used, the refund will be adjusted accordingly.

When making an appointment, our team will assess your needs according to precise clinical criteria. Minor emergencies involve conditions such as mild infections or minor aches and pains, while complex consultations involve problems requiring more in-depth medical assessments.

Yes, it is possible to adjust your reason for consultation by contacting us at least 24 hours before your appointment. This allows us to ensure that the healthcare professional will be able to respond appropriately to your needs.
