Description of the work
Clinique Omicron's Home Care Nurse provides medical sampling services directly to patients, guaranteeing personalized, tailored care in the comfort of their own home. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, excellent organizational skills and a keen sense of service.
Main tasks
- Take blood and other biological samples at home, while complying with safety and hygiene protocols.
- Ensure the safe transport and storage of samples to guarantee their integrity until they reach the laboratory.
- Assess patients' general condition and report any relevant health problems to the medical team.
- Provide support and explanations to patients regarding sampling procedures and answer their questions.
- Document procedures performed and ensure administrative follow-up in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize home care coordination.
Training and access conditions
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in health, assistance and nursing.
- Valid permit to practice from the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel.
- Experience in sampling or home care preferred.
