A natural and effective treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is an effective method for stimulating hair regrowth in both men and women. It involves taking a blood sample, isolating the platelets and plasma, then injecting them into areas of hair loss. The growth factors present in the platelets promote hair regrowth and improve hair quality.

Natural & regenerative treatment

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)

PRP uses your own platelets to stimulate natural tissue regeneration. Effective for musculoskeletal injuries and hair regrowth.

Musculoskeletal PRP

Injection of concentrated plasma directly into the injured area to accelerate natural healing and reduce chronic pain.

Chronic tendinopathies (rotator cuff, Achilles tendon, epicondylitis)
Partial ligament sprains and tears
Mild to moderate osteoarthritis (knee, hip)
Plantar fasciitis resistant to conventional treatments
Accelerated post-surgical recovery

Capillary PRP - Hair regrowth

Injection of PRP into the scalp to stimulate hair follicles and promote regrowth in men and women.

Androgenetic alopecia (male and female baldness)
Alopecia areata (patches)
Post-partum or post-stress hair loss
Densification of existing hair
Complement to drug treatments (minoxidil, finasteride)
Stage 01

Blood sampling

A small sample of your own blood is taken - identical to a standard blood test. Simple, quick and painless.

Stage 02

Centrifugation & concentration

The blood is centrifuged to extract platelet-concentrated plasma - rich in regenerative growth factors.

Stage 03

Targeted injection

PRP is injected directly into the target area - joint, tendon or scalp - under ultrasound guidance if necessary.

Tests and examinations to detect heart disease

We offer essential cardiovascular assessments such as the resting electrocardiogram (ECG), ABPM and Holter. Resting ECG, a rapid 10-minute test, evaluates the bioelectrical activity of the heart using electrodes placed on the chest, arms and legs. ABPM, an ambulatory blood pressure monitor worn for 24 hours, is the gold standard for assessing blood pressure. Finally, the Holter is a small device that records heart rhythm continuously over 24 to 48 hours, even during daily activities. These tests are quick to install and require a doctor's prescription.

*A medical prescription is required for these examinations. Examinations with interpretation of results are available from 50$ and are not covered by the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).

Treatment for skin disorders

Liquid nitrogen treatment, also known as cryotherapy, is an effective and precise method of eliminating skin imperfections. The process involves applying a small amount of liquid nitrogen directly to the skin, making it possible to treat a variety of dermatological conditions.

This treatment is commonly used for warts, molluscum contagiosum, solar lentigos, acrochordons, condylomas and seborrheic keratoses. Cryotherapy offers a fast, targeted solution, ideal for treating these conditions safely.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions - Tests and treatments

Infiltrations, ultrasound, PRP, cardiovascular assessments, cryotherapy and restorative tattooing - clear answers to your questions about our specialized services at Clinique Omicron.

What is cortisone infiltration and when is it recommended?

Cortisone infiltration is a targeted anti-inflammatory injection indicated for rapid relief of joint and soft tissue pain. It is recommended for osteoarthritis (knee, hip, shoulder), tendonitis, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis. All our infiltrations are performed under ultrasound guidance for optimum precision.

Are infiltrations performed under ultrasound guidance?

Yes. At Clinique Omicron, all infiltrations - cortisone, PRP and viscosupplementation - are performed under real-time ultrasound guidance. This approach ensures maximum precision in targeting the area to be treated, minimizing risks and optimizing treatment efficacy.

What is the difference between cortisone, PRP and viscosupplementation?

Cortisone rapidly reduces inflammation and pain. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) uses your own growth factors to regenerate tissue - ideal for chronic tendinopathy and mild osteoarthritis. Viscosupplementation injects hyaluronic acid into the joint to lubricate it and reduce the pain associated with advanced osteoarthritis. Your doctor will determine the most appropriate treatment during your consultation.

What types of ultrasound scans are available at the clinic?

We offer three types of ultrasound: musculoskeletal (tendons, ligaments, infiltration guidance), abdominal and pelvic (liver, kidneys, uterus, ovaries), and thyroid and soft tissue (nodules, cervical lymph nodes). These examinations are free of ionizing radiation, and results are promptly forwarded to your attending physician.

Do I need a prescription for an ultrasound?

Yes, a doctor's prescription is required for most diagnostic ultrasounds to ensure that the examination is appropriate for your medical condition. If you don't yet have a doctor, our team can refer you to one in advance.

Is PRP treatment effective for hair loss?

Yes, capillary PRP is an effective method for stimulating hair regrowth in men and women suffering from mild to moderate alopecia. The growth factors contained in concentrated plasma reactivate dormant hair follicles. A protocol of 3 to 4 sessions is generally recommended for optimal results.

What cardiovascular tests are available at Clinique Omicron?

We offer resting ECG (10-minute assessment of the heart's electrical activity), cardiac Holter (continuous recording over 24 to 48 hours) and MAPA (ambulatory measurement of blood pressure over 24 hours). These tests are quick to set up, do not require hospitalization, and the results are sent directly to your doctor.

Are cardiovascular examinations covered by RAMQ?

No, these tests are not covered by RAMQ. Fees starting at 50 $ apply depending on the type of examination, including interpretation of results by a physician. Your private insurance may cover all or part of the cost - check with your insurer before your consultation.

What is liquid nitrogen treatment (cryotherapy)?

Cryotherapy involves applying liquid nitrogen at -196°C directly to skin lesions to destroy them by freezing. It is used for warts, molluscums, seborrheic keratoses, condylomas, solar lentigos and actinic keratoses. The procedure is rapid (5 to 30 seconds per lesion), requires no general anaesthetic, and the lesion falls off naturally after 1 to 3 weeks.

How many cryotherapy sessions are required?

On average, 1 to 3 sessions are required, depending on the nature and size of the lesion. Some superficial lesions respond as early as the first session. Complete healing generally takes 1 to 3 weeks. Follow-up is planned to assess response to treatment.

What is areola restoration tattooing?

Areola restoration tattooing is a medical tattoo performed after breast surgery (mastectomy, reconstruction, asymmetry correction) to recreate natural, realistic areolas. The session lasts 2 to 3 hours, with an ultra-natural 3D effect. Medical pigments last 3 to 5 years. A touch-up is included if required.
