What is an ultrasound scan?
Ultrasound is a non-invasive medical imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of internal tissues and organs. It is essential for the diagnosis of many medical conditions.
The procedure, which lasts approximately 10 to 20 minutes, enables the study of multiple organs in the abdomen (liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, bladder, genital organs), neck (thyroid, lymph nodes), vessels (arteries and veins), ligaments and heart. It is also used to obtain ultrasound images during pregnancy.

For a precise diagnosis
Musculoskeletal ultrasound
Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a reference examination for diagnosing various pathologies affecting tendons or muscles, particularly when X-rays fail to provide specific information. This precise, dynamic examination provides a detailed analysis of musculoskeletal structures.
Infiltration involves the injection of a drug derived from cortisone, a natural hormone with anti-inflammatory properties. This widely-used treatment has proven effective in relieving pain and promoting healing. The procedure begins with a local anaesthetic, followed by the targeted injection of cortisone at the site concerned.

Autologous platelet-rich plasma
A new non-surgical, drug-free treatment is available for patients suffering from tendon injuries, osteoarthritis, ligament or muscle injuries: A-PRP therapy. An innovative solution to stimulate the natural healing of tendons and cartilage. Effective, safe and simple, this therapy is performed at our clinic by a doctor specializing in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
